Do you remember your first bicycle? The freedom it gave you to explore the world, to be independent, to hang with your friends or escape it all? Even in this digital age, a bike still holds a timeless magic for kids.  We are proud to carry a great selection of safe, well-designed kids bicycles, so that your child can have an excellent experience on a bike.

Balance bikes are a great way to introduce the littlest ones to bikes. As early as 18 months, kids can start practicing the necessary balance and coordination for riding. This excellent alternative to training wheels allows kids use their feet to walk the bike, and then progress to kicking along at higher speeds. And kids love them! The ideal age for balance bikes is usually 2-4, and then most kids transition to a two wheeled bike with ease.

Our smallest traditional bikes feature 12" and 16" wheels. Sturdy steel frames can easily last through several children, and though they do include solid training wheels, these bikes are well balanced and easy to ride without training wheels, too. Designed with child friendly features-like size specific saddles, pedals, grips, storage for treasures and sturdy tassels-and parent approved features such as an integrated handle on the saddle and a fully-enclosed chain.

For older kids, we carry 20" and 24" bikes in a wide variety of colors and styles. Bigger wheels and gear options allow kids to travel farther and faster. 20" bikes are best for those age 6-9, and come in single speed and geared options. 24" bikes are best for those 8-12 years, and have different options for gears, frame material and style. These bikes offer plenty of growing room to keep up with young riders for several years.

For active parents looking to take small children along for the ride, we have several different solutions to safely transport them. We carry Burley child trailers, the industry leader in safety and design.  1 or 2 children can ride along in style, with weather protection, 5 point harnesses, cup holders and space for cargo in the back.  For older kids, pedal trailers are a fun and safe way to get around. Pedal trailers attach to the back of an adult bike, allowing kids to ride behind, but keeping them out of harms way.
